By accessing or using ChessLair, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the service.
ChessLair is operated by OliveShip Ltd (United Kingdom).
ChessLair is a web-based chess training and repertoire management platform that allows users to create, organize, analyze, quiz, and study chess openings, variations, notes, and related content.
Certain features may require a paid subscription, while other features may be available for free.
An account is required to use ChessLair. Authentication is provided through Google login using third-party authentication providers.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account.
ChessLair may offer both free and premium subscription plans. Payments are securely processed by Stripe.
Subscription fees are billed on a recurring monthly basis unless cancelled.
All payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
If you cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access to premium features until the end of your current billing period.
Billing history and invoices may remain available through Stripe even after your ChessLair account or local billing record is deleted.
You retain ownership of the openings, repertoires, notes, variations, and other content you create on ChessLair.
You may delete your content and account at any time. If you delete your account while you have an active Stripe subscription, ChessLair will attempt to cancel the subscription before deleting your local account data.
ChessLair may allow users to share openings with other users in the future. Shared openings may be visible to the users you choose to share them with.
ChessLair may provide analysis using chess engines such as Stockfish. Analysis is provided for informational and training purposes only.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, correctness, or availability of engine evaluations or recommendations.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion, including for abuse, suspicious activity, violation of these Terms, payment-related issues, or actions that may harm the platform or other users.
ChessLair is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind.
We may modify, remove, suspend, or discontinue features at any time without notice.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, uptime, or error-free operation of the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OliveShip Ltd shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of ChessLair.
Total liability relating to the service shall not exceed the amount paid by you to ChessLair during the previous 12 months.
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.
